The Phoenix Student

The Phoenix Rising School welcomes students who are natural learners and well suited with our progressive approach to education. Our students value active-hands on learning, discovery and exploration. Our classroom and outdoor experiences are reliant upon independence, trustworthiness, and responsibility.  Mixed age experiences allow students to be leaders, while teachers monitor and help facilitate. Your child will do well if they:

  • are curious
  • enjoy being outdoors
  • are a quiet or eager learner
  • are creative
  • enjoy school but need to have some freedom in how they learn.
  • need recess time to breathe, get the wiggles, out and reset their brain.

Former Phoenix Rising School students have gone on to be leaders in problem solving, personal relationships, academics, student government, sports, arts, and sciences.

Admissions and Enrollment Process:

Step 1) School tour

You can call anytime to set up the school tour, where you will receive 30 to 35 minutes tour of our beautiful campus. You will have a chance to observe closely our various activities on the campus, see the classrooms, students, teachers and specialties. After the school tour, our office staff review the application and enrollment forms with you.

Step 2) Observation day

Make sure that you set up a time for the observation day, during or after your first visit. Through 2 to 5 hours class observation, the teacher will assess the personal and educational needs of your child. Also, it will give you and your child the real taste of the school, classmates and classroom.

You will be required to submit the completed application form along with $35 application fee, on the observation day.

Step 3) Parents’ Interview

The parents’ interview will assist the teacher to attain a picture of your child’s background.  The teacher will require a complete understanding of the behavior, needs, talents, interests, strengths and weaknesses of your child. Through the interview the teacher also obtains a vital information on any special/medical conditions, or specific attention that your child requires. Upon conducting the parents interview, school will send an official letter to the previous school and request for the student records.

Step 4) Decision making process:

Considering all the above, the admission team will decide if our school and your child will be a right fit for one another. If your application is accepted, you are required to complete the enrollment packet and submit it to the office along with a $150 enrollment fee within 5 business days.

The Phoenix Rising School welcomes students who are natural learners.
